The APA Program was launched in November by Calgary Economic Development, in partnership with Content Canada with support from the Consulate General of Canada, Los Angeles, and funding through Western Economic Diversification Canada.
The four-month program, focused exclusively on Alberta producers, offers participants important training and access to key decision makers. An essential part of the program’s success includes providing the finalists with expert industry mentorship to guide them as they work through the curriculum.

Thank you to the mentors participating in the first cohort of the APA Program:
“The APA is unique in its focus on Alberta producers and its connectivity to industry experts who can share a national and international perspective,” said Luke Azevedo, Commissioner, Film, Television and Creative Industries, for Calgary Economic Development. “We are helping to forge important connections, and create meaningful conversations between mentees and their mentors. Thank you to the mentors for their time and generosity to ensure the success of the program.”
