The new CBC half-hour sketch comedy series TallBoyz will make its world premiere as part of the new Content Canada Screenings on September 10.
In attendance will be the ‘TallBoyz’ – Guled Abdi, Vance Banzo, Tim Blair and Franco Nguyen, as well as executive producers Bruce McCulloch (The Kids in the Hall, Young Drunk Punk) and Susan Cavan (The Kids in the Hall: Death Comes to Town, Young Drunk Punk). In addition to the screening, there will be a Q&A with the TallBoyz cast and producers.
“Content Canada is thrilled to welcome the talent and brilliant minds behind TallBoyz to our Content Canada Screenings”, said Ferne Cohen, CEO of Content Canada. “This will be an amazing opportunity to celebrate exceptional homegrown content being made for today’s audiences, and we invite everyone to join us in September.”
“TallBoyz is an exceptional example of Canada’s best creative talent coming together to build something that is uniquely homegrown,” said Sally Catto, General Manager, Programming, CBC. “We can’t wait for the TallBoyz team to debut their series during Content Canada and know that, like us, audiences will be captivated by their modern and thought-provoking approach to sketch comedy.”
TallBoyz will premiere this fall as part of CBC’s Tuesday night comedy lineup on CBC and the CBC Gem streaming service.
