Content Canada Announces Launch of Alberta Producer Accelerator Program

Calgary Economic Development, in partnership with Content Canada and with support from the Consulate General of Canada, Los Angeles, and funding through Western Economic Diversification Canada, is proud to announce the launch of the Alberta Producer Accelerator (APA) Program to help deliver the projects of Alberta film and television producers to the global stage.

Eligible producers must apply between October 26 – November 15, 2020.

The Alberta Producer Accelerator Program will offer training, one-to-one mentorship, and access to key decision makers for up to ten selected finalists who have registered businesses in Alberta. The curriculum, running from November 30 through March 31 is comprised of weekly mentorship sessions, industry expert-led online masterclasses and advisor check-ins, all of which culminates in vital one-on-one pitch opportunities with national and international decision makers.

The APA Program is open to producers with registered Alberta businesses who have worked in the industry for 3+years, have a body of work and are committed to creating an inclusive and diverse environment.
