Eligible producers must apply between October 26 – November 15, 2020.
The Alberta Producer Accelerator Program will offer training, one-to-one mentorship, and access to key decision makers for up to ten selected finalists who have registered businesses in Alberta. The curriculum, running from November 30 through March 31 is comprised of weekly mentorship sessions, industry expert-led online masterclasses and advisor check-ins, all of which culminates in vital one-on-one pitch opportunities with national and international decision makers.

“With their enormous talent and creativity, Canadian television and film producers showcase Canada to the world while employing thousands of Canadians,” said the Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Economic Development and Official Languages, and Minister responsible for Western Economic Diversification Canada. “At this precise time, we need our creative industries to not just survive, but thrive. This collaboration between Calgary Economic Development and Western Economic Diversification Canada will provide Alberta film producers with critical resources and support to connect with international studios and bring their content to the global stage.”

The APA Program is open to producers with registered Alberta businesses who have worked in the industry for 3+years, have a body of work and are committed to creating an inclusive and diverse environment.
