Content Canada to present Calgary Day at Digital Summit

Turning the spotlight on production in Alberta, Content Canada will present a dedicated Calgary Day as part of its inaugural Digital Summit on September 9, 2020.

Luke Azevedo, commissioner of film, television and creative industries for Calgary Economic Development will lead an informative and important roundtable discussion with industry leaders from across the province to highlight health and safety protocols in place, Calgary and area’s diverse locations, and why Alberta has been able to so successfully open for business.

Featured esteemed panelists will include Mark Ham, executive director, cultural industries Branch and Film Commissioner, Alberta Culture, Multiculturalism and Status of Women; Tom Cox, executive producer and managing partner, Seven24 Films; Linda Ambury, production manager, producer, director; and Erin O'Connor, business development manager, Calgary Film Centre.

Calgary Day

In addition to the Spotlight Session, Calgary Economic Development will also launch its Industry Suite on on Calgary Day which will showcase Alberta’s film commissioner, current projects underway, successful projects previously shot, prominent Alberta producers and the first-rate crews who contribute to Alberta’s status as a preeminent production location.
