Creative Saskatchewan and the Saskatchewan Media Production Industry Association (SMPIA), in partnership with Content Canada, with funding from Western Economic Diversification Canada, are proud to announce the launch of the Saskatchewan Pitch Market which will offer producers from across the province access to key decision makers.
The program will provide participating Saskatchewan producers with the opportunity to meet with buyers, platforms and studios who are targeted to their specific projects; and will also offer participants the chance to attend customized workshops with industry leaders. The first iteration will be conducted virtually, with a view to subsequent programs offering a mix of virtual and in-person components.
“Market access is critical, and we’re pleased to partner with SMPIA and Content Canada to deliver this exclusive opportunity to Saskatchewan producers,” said Erin Dean, CEO of Creative Saskatchewan. “We’re excited about this program and believe it positions producers to overcome some of the unprecedented challenges they’ve faced this past year.”
“We’re excited to partner with Creative Saskatchewan and Content Canada on this program and we believe the program will provide an invaluable opportunity for Saskatchewan producers to connect with leading content buyers and platforms”, said Lioz Bouganin, President of SMPIA. “Having exclusive access to key decision makers through virtual meetings and networking is essential, especially at a time when in-person networking is not possible because of the pandemic.”
“We are very pleased to be working with Creative Saskatchewan and SMPIA to launch the Saskatchewan Pitch Market”, said Ferne Cohen, CEO of Content Canada. “It’s great to be able to offer meetings to select Saskatchewan producers during this unprecedented time, with a view to keeping the industry moving forward, and hopefully matching the right projects with the right potential partners.”
