A visionary producer with a track record for delivering award-winning scripted content for audiences in Canada and around the world, Christina Jennings is Founder, Chairman and President of Shaftesbury, a content company known for innovative storytelling and building successful brands. Spanning television, feature film and digital productions, Shaftesbury titles are sold in over 150 countries worldwide. The current primetime slate includes 16 seasons of the international hit series Murdoch Mysteries for CBC, ITV Studios and UKTV, and five seasons of Hudson & Rex for Citytv, both are available in over 120 countries worldwide. Other projects include: the acclaimed horror anthology series Slasher on Shudder and Hollywood Suite, with Emmy® Award-winner Eric McCormack starring in the upcoming fifth season; three seasons of the acclaimed event series Departure for Global starring Emmy® Award-winner Archie Panjabi and the late Academy® Award-winner Christopher Plummer; and SisterS, a new Irish-Canadian co-production by and starring Sarah Goldberg (Barry) and Susan Stanley, for Crave, RTÉ and IFC.
Jennings is a graduate of the Canadian Film Centre and currently serves as Chair of the Centre’s Board of Directors. Jennings has garnered numerous awards, including the prestigious Order of Canada, the Academy Achievement Award from the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television, the MIPCOM Lifetime Achievement Award, and the Canadian Film Centre Award for Creative Excellence.
