Emily Posey is the Director of Acquisitions and Content Strategy at Tastemade, a position she has held since January 2023. In this role, Emily oversees the acquisition of content for Tastemade’s streaming channels and manages the licensing of Tastemade Original content to external partners.
With over 14 years of experience in television, Emily has built a diverse set of skills that span several key industry areas, both in emerging and legacy media. Emily has a deep appreciation for great storytelling within the content she works with and is passionate about fostering collaboration and innovation across teams.
Before joining Tastemade, Emily worked at CNN as part of the team that oversaw all scheduling & programming strategies for the CNN and HLN networks. Her team worked to optimize the performance of live news & events, original series, and award-winning films across a multitude of linear and non-linear platforms. In addition, she was responsible for talent scheduling and worked closely with CNN’s 30+ anchors and correspondents throughout her time with the network. She began her career at AMC Networks during the era of Mad Men and Breaking Bad and focused on acquisitions and programming for the brand’s international channels.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Radio, Television, and Film from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Master’s degree from New York University in Media, Culture and Communication. She lives in Sands Point, NY, with her husband and two children.
