Phil Breman is an accomplished creative executive with over two decades of
experience developing, managing, writing and producing programming for
broadcast and cable television, streaming services and online distribution.
Mr. Breman currently serves as the head of live action television for Mattel where
he oversees all scripted and unscripted development and production. In this role,
Mr. Breman is responsible for identifying content opportunities for existing
Mattel IP as well as developing new and original content that organically fits
under the Mattel brand. Mr. Breman currently serves as an Executive Producer
on several ongoing projects such as the Monster High movie series for
Nickelodeon and Paramount+, Hot Wheels Ultimate Challenge for NBC, The Barbie
Dreamhouse Challenge for HGTV and Pictionary for Fox and CBS.
Prior to joining Mattel, Mr. Breman served as Vice President, Current
Programming at NBC Entertainment where he oversaw all creative and
production elements of numerous drama and comedy series. Mr. Breman
worked alongside a wide variety of high profile creative talent such as Tina Fey,
Shawn Ryan, Eric Kripke, Will Packer, Sean Hayes and many others. Stand out
projects include: Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, Mr. Mayor, Manifest, The Blacklist,
Will & Grace, Timeless, Trial & Error, La Brea and A.P. Bio.
Mr. Breman also headed up all live action series development for the Disney
Channel where he developed over a dozen successful comedy series such as Good
Luck Charlie, Liv & Maddie, Austin & Ally, KC Undercover and Jessie.
Prior to joining the Hollywood executive ranks, Mr. Breman was a co-founder and
Chief Creative Officer of Be Jane, Inc. – a multi-media and lifestyle brand company
that serviced the women’s home improvement industry. Mr. Breman led a
creative team that launched both TV and web-based series with Scripps and
MSN.com, created a line of books through Random House and Time Warner, and
produced hundreds of hours of customized content for corporate partners such as
Bank of America, The Home Depot, Lowe’s, Skil and Target.
Mr. Breman is also a former sit-com writer who has written and produced over
one hundred episodes of network television. He served as a senior level
writer/producer on such shows as the Paramount Television/WB sit-com, Raising
Dad starring Bob Saget, Kat Dennings and Brie Larson and the NBC/WB sit-com,
For Your Love starring Holly Robinson Peete, James Lesure and DeDee Pfeiffer.
Mr. Breman is an accomplished speaker having provided keynote speeches at the
Toronto Screenwriting Conference, UCLA School of Television and Film and USC
School of Cinematic Arts as well as having served as a guest on numerous panels
for the WGA, DGA, NBC Diversity & Inclusion, Canadian Film Board and many
others.
Mr. Breman is a Warren Honors Graduate of the University of California at San
Diego and a current member of both the Writers Guild of America and NATAS.
