Sarah Mullervy is an Emmy® Award-winning producer, writer, and development executive. In 2022, Mullervy joined Sony Pictures Television (SPT) – Kids as Senior Vice President, Creative where she is responsible for spearheading the development and production of original kids’ content that leverages the company’s robust library and grows its beloved franchises. Concurrently, she also produces the new preschool hit series, SuperKitties, for Disney Junior.
Previously, Mullervy served as Senior Vice President, Creative for Silvergate Media since 2011. While there, she managed the company’s development slate and helped to triple its multi-award-winning series productions within an eight-year period. She was part of the early development of Hilda and Chico Bon Bon for Netflix; and the development and production of The Octonauts for Disney Junior; Sunny Day for Nickelodeon; and Peter Rabbit for Nick Jr. which earned her a Daytime Emmy® Award for “Outstanding Special Class Animated Program”.
Prior to joining Silvergate Media, Mullervy held a development role at Chorion Limited, managing screen adaptations of literary classics including Beatrix Potter’s Peter Rabbit, The Mr. Men & Little Miss Series, and Noddy.
She began her career in Sesame Workshop’s development department working on Sesame Street spin-offs, Sesame Street international shorts, and new development projects including Pinky Dinky Doo, The Upside-Down Show, and The Electric Company.
She was one of the founding members of the Children’s Media Association (formerly Women in Children’s Media) and served as its first Vice President of Development.
Mullervy is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College and resides in New York.
