Terry Kalagian was promoted to President, Worldwide Animation & Family, based in Paris,
in June of 2023. Prior to that, she served as EVP, Creative Content U.S., based in Los
Angeles.
Terry is a multifaceted entertainment executive with twenty years of experience across
various disciplines in the entertainment industry including IP development strategy, creative
and business development, content sourcing, acquisitions and co-productions. She has
assisted both U.S. and international entertainment organizations to drive new business and
develop, acquire, and produce properties across animation (kids & family as well as adult)
and live action dramas. She is proud to have worked with such respected companies as
Mattel, Marvel, Cartoon Network, Polygon Pictures, ADK (Asatsu-DK), Rainmaker
Entertainment, and Blink Studios to name a few.
At Gaumont, Terry has been instrumental in attracting, developing and producing such high
profiles titles as the 2021 Peabody Award winning series Stillwater, an animated
children’s series based on the Zen Shorts book series by Jon J. Muth for Apple TV+. The
series also garnered a Daytime Emmy® for best editing. Additional projects include Do,
Re & Mi, the animated musical series for preschoolers featuring 52 original songs and
staring Kristen Bell (Frozen, The Good Place), Jackie Tohn (Glow) and Luke Youngbood
(Harry Potter, Galavant) for Amazon Prime Video; for Netflix, Samurai Rabbit: The Usagi
Chronicles, the animated series based on the long-running Usagi Yojimbo comic books by
Stan Sakai and High in The Clouds, the animated feature developed together with Paul
McCartney
In addition to Terry’s prestigious body of work, she is also a passionate supporter and
participant of The Hollywood Reporter’s pioneering Women in Entertainment Mentorship
Program, which, in partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles, grants $1
million in scholarships to L.A. high school
In 2021, she was one of 5 mentees to be featured in the broadcast special titled Lifetime and
The Hollywood Reporter Present Women in Entertainment: the Next Generation, a Voices
Magnified program celebrating female trendsetters, industry leaders and potential future
female power players.
